Experience the art of Japanese steel

Welcome to Shoraku.

This isn't just about scissors.
It's about passion, about respect for craftsmanship – and about the joy of creating something that lasts.
Immerse yourself with us in the world of Japanese steel and discover why Shoraku scissors are more than just a tool: they are a piece of living art.

The essence of our work: Genuine Japanese steel

At Shoraku, we believe that great tools can only be made from great materials.
That's why the steel for our scissors comes exclusively from the best blacksmiths in Japan: Hitachi , Aichi and Takefu .
From their furnaces come alloys that enjoy world-renowned fame – and that inspire us every day. Depending on the model, we work with:

  • 440C stainless steel for reliable robustness,
  • VG10 steel for long-lasting sharpness,
  • Molybdenum-cobalt alloys for maximum flexibility,
  • Super Gold powder steel , which we forge into artistic Damascus blades.

Every Shoraku scissors tells a story – of origin, craftsmanship and the search for the perfect cut.

Because details make the difference

We know:
The true character of a pair of scissors is revealed in the details. Our high-quality ball bearings ensure that every movement feels light and effortless.
A smooth gliding that you can feel – and that makes your work easier, more precise and more relaxed.
Sometimes it's the little things that make the big difference.

Handmade in Japan: Our Master Series

The Master Series is our core.
These scissors are made in a small factory in Japan – each one individually, by hand and without compromise.

Just the pure dedication of master craftsmen who live their art.
When you hold a pair of scissors from the Master Series, you are holding the result of patience, respect and passion.

Beyond the Cut: More than a cut

With Shoraku we want to take you on a journey – beyond technology.
We want to show you what is possible when passion, knowledge and true craftsmanship come together.

Because true perfection doesn't happen overnight. It's created step by step—cut by cut.

Welcome to Shoraku.
